Sheikh Najam is a City-trained Notary (Notary at Law) appointed by The Court of Faculties, and regulated through the Faculty Office of The Archbishop of Canterbury. This authorises him to practise law throughout England and Wales. He is also a European Attorney, specialising in International Notarial Law, International Private Wealth Law (Wills, Trusts, Probate, Powers of Attorney, Tax), and International Corporate Law (Governance, Tax, Insolvency).

He advises high-net-worth individuals and families, and internationally mobile clients on cross-border notarisations of personal and commercial legal documents, Wills, trusts, probate, powers of attorney, inheritance tax, cross-border estate planning, international corporate and tax structuring, and civil/commercial dispute resolution.

Kochi Vasylyeva LLM

Kochi Vasylyeva holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from King’s College London, and a Notarial Practice diploma from University College London (UCL).
Kochi worked in corporate and commercial law and has recently commenced practice as a Notary Public. She began her legal career as a trainee intern with different international law firms across multiple jurisdictions and gained exposure to cross-border legal practice and diverse regulatory frameworks.
She subsequently developed practical experience in the UAE, where she worked both in-house and in local law firms. During this time, she progressed from legal assistant to paralegal and ultimately to legal consultant, advising on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters. This progression reflects her commitment to professional development.
She is regulated through the Faculty Office of The Archbishop of Canterbury, and is a Member of the Notaries' Society of England and Wales. She is employed as a Notary at Staple Inn Notaries where she provides a broad range of notarial law services to businesses and individuals.

Kochi is the author of numerous publications in the field of corporate and commercial law, and is a regular speaker at conferences and specialist panel discussions. She is multilingual and speaks English, Russian and Tajik languages.

Josephine Farrell brings over two decades of distinguished legal experience, underpinned by First Class Honours from Guildford Law College (1991). Her legal foundation was forged through rigorous training at Tweedie and Prideaux Solicitors in London’s historic Lincoln’s Inn Fields (Veale Wasbrough Vizards LLP), where she gained deep expertise in Conveyancing, Probate, and private client services.

Her career spans international borders, including a pivotal role in the United Arab Emirates as Legal Counsel and Registrar for one of the nation’s three federal universities. This position highlighted her proficiency in higher education law and regulatory compliance, supported by an impressive academic portfolio: an LLB from the University of London, an LLM from the University of Leicester, a Master of Applied Linguistics from the University of London, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education Management from the University of Bath.

Shayli Alali is a Trainee CILEX Lawyer specialising in Private Client Law. She is the Personal Assistant to Sheikh Najam, supporting high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families with discreet, efficient, and professional client coordination.
She acts as a trusted first point of contact, managing confidential enquiries, appointments, and urgent instructions for UK and international private clients, family offices, and professional advisers. Shayli ensures a seamless client experience, reflecting the firm's standards of excellence, discretion, and responsiveness.

Sahar Najam LLB
Trainee Solicitor
Sahar Najam is a Trainee Solicitor at Staple Inn Notaries & International Private Client Lawyers, supporting the firm’s UK and cross-border private client, notarial, and corporate/commercial law advisory services.
She assists with matters relating to Wills, trusts, probate and estate administration, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and wider private client documentation, working closely with senior lawyers to ensure matters are handled with accuracy, discretion, and efficiency. Sahar also supports notarial and legal processes for international clients, including document preparation, due diligence, and client liaison.
Sahar completed her LLB at the University of Leicester in 2025 and is currently undertaking the LLM in Legal Practice (SQE1 and SQE2) at the University of Law London, where she is training to qualify as a solicitor while gaining practical experience at the firm.
She is committed to developing a strong technical foundation in private client and international legal practice and is known for her methodical approach, professionalism, and attention to detail.

Hazique Ali ACCA

Hazique Ali is the Financial Controller at Staple Inn Notaries and a UK-qualified Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA).
He is responsible for overseeing the firm’s financial management, accounting systems, and regulatory compliance, ensuring that the practice maintains the highest standards of financial governance and operational discipline. His role includes financial reporting, corporate compliance, and supporting the firm’s strategic growth and operational efficiency.
Hazique brings professional expertise in accounting, taxation, and corporate financial management. His work supports the firm’s commitment to delivering high-quality professional services to clients in the UK and internationally, while maintaining robust financial controls and regulatory compliance expected of a modern London legal practice.
