Staple Inn Notaries provides notarial services and legal advisory services to individuals and businesses in London, UK and internationally. Our fees reflect the professional responsibility, experience, and time involved in delivering accurate and reliable advice.
Where possible, we offer fixed-fee quotes. Where matters are more complex, fees are agreed in advance before work begins.

How Our Fees Are Calculated ?

Notarial Fees
International Matters
The following fees are indicative and subject to document review:

Commercial & Property Documents – £150 per document (including company resolutions, corporate documents, commercial agreements, overseas property documentation)

Personal Documents – £135 per document
(including powers of attorney, affidavits, statutory declarations, and ID certification) -
Notary Certified copies of identity documents (passports, identity cards, driving licences, bank statements, etc.) – £65 per document
✔ 10% discount is applied for 3 or more documents
✔ More complex notarisations may be charged at the Notary's hourly fee of £525
Same-Day, Mobile & Out-of-Hours Services

Mobile notary services (within Central London), are charged at an hourly rate of £550 plus travel costs

Oaths, Affidavits & Statutory Declarations

These fees include preparation, witnessing, notarisation, and official record-keeping.
FCDO Hague Apostille & Embassy Legalisation
Apostille and embassy / consular legalisation services are charged separately, depending on:

Required timescales
Standard cost for Hague Apostille is £95 (per document). This includes FCDO fee of £45, but does not include courier/postage charges and notarisation fee.

Legal Advisory Services & Fees
In addition to notarial services, Staple Inn Notaries provides legal advisory services to both private and business clients. Fixed fee is agreed with clients in advance where possible. Alternatively, an hourly rate ranging from £325 to £850 may be charged. This is based on the complexity of the matter, and the seniority/expertise of the team member handling the case.

Wherever possible, we offer fixed-fee quotes once the scope of work is clear.
Where a fixed fee cannot be offered, legal advisory services may be charged at an hourly rate ranging from £325 to £850, depending on the complexity of the matter and seniority/expertise of the team member handling the case.
Any hourly rate will be explained and agreed in advance.
No work is undertaken without confirming the basis of charging first.

Any third-party costs (such as government fees, court fees, courier charges, apostille fees, or embassy fees) will:
